Blaze'n

So last week, Eddie took myself and Sion to the Bridge to Nowhere in Azusa. It just so happened that yesterday, I awoke to the smell of smoke. It was raining ash! In an unbelievable twist of fate, the same trail we walked on was torched by a forest fire.

Random Jabber

I'm just going to rush through the first part. Today I embarked on a trip to Los Angeles' Bike District. With over 6 hours on the saddle we encountered belly dancers, inexpensive fortune cookies, and sights of Downtown Los Angeles that is not fully appreciated as it aught to be.

On an unrelated note: My thighs and gloots are king baby (fucking king). 30 Miles Conquered and back.

Downtown LA has such a charm that is hardly acknowledged in television or online. I don't feel I can do justice to it by writing. Just please take my word for it. At Melrose and Heliotroupe is a charming little ice cream shop called scoop. Inside were flavors such as brown bread, goat cheese lavender, and other weird concoctions. I highly recommend it.

Second part, this will be rushed too: To Julia Roberts in "My Best Friend's Wedding", I just want to say I totally feel with you. Cupid is just plain stupid.

Crazy Night

So yesterday was Midnight Ridazz, The Ladies Ride. What ended up happening was almost a ticket from the cops. Because the ride was so jam packed, my sister and I got squeezed to the wrong side of the road. Before we knew it, police sirens were going off and they were demanding that someone in "the white shirt" pull over. Confused my sister and I stayed with the group gliding back into the right side of the road. "You in the white shirt, pull over". We both were wearing white shirts.

We pulled over and waited for the cops to come. I'm not too proud of this (but so relieved we did) my sister and I jet back into the 500 bicyclist herd when the cops parked.

Eventually we lost the group and met two druggies who said they'd escort us back to our car. They told us stories about their lives on how one had an amputated leg and the other collected a quarter million in a lawsuit. They gave my sister free stuff and tried to hit on her. The end of the night we exchanged info and jetted off. A lot of it was my sister's handling but it taught me that people can surprise you by their kindness.

San Diego Trip

Went to San Diego for 3 days. Over 16 hours on the saddle. 100+ miles. Legs are sore, butt hurts, knees are inflamed. So worth it.

Sister is so awesome
